How an AyeInspect drone roof survey works, from booking to report in 24 hours

Book online, we fly, you get a photographic report with every defect circled and graded within 24 hours. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

There is no site visit to quote for a survey, no scaffolding to schedule and nobody climbing on your roof. The whole AyeInspect process is designed to be the fastest safe way to find out exactly what condition your roof is in.

1. Book in a couple of minutes

Enter your address and pick a slot on the booking form. If your postcode is inside our coverage — Glasgow (G), Lanarkshire (ML), Edinburgh (EH), Falkirk (FK), Stirling or Paisley (PA) — the price is fixed: £99 residential, £149 commercial. Pay by card, PayPal, Pay by Bank, Google Pay or Klarna, and you will get an immediate confirmation.

2. The flight — usually under 30 minutes

Our pilot arrives with a professional camera drone and flies a structured pattern over the property: every pitch, the ridge, hips, valleys, chimney heads and flashings, the gutter line and any flat roof sections. You do not need to be home as long as we can access the outside of the property safely. Flights are weather-dependent — if wind or rain makes flying unsafe, we rebook at the next suitable slot and tell you immediately.

3. Analysis and human review

Back at the desk, the photographs go through our defect-detection analysis tuned for Scottish roof types — slate tenements, sandstone villas, modern tile developments and flat roofs alike. Every flagged defect is then reviewed by a person before it reaches your report: we confirm genuine findings, reject false positives, and circle anything the software missed.

4. Your report, within 24 hours

  • Photographs of every elevation with each defect circled.
  • A plain-English description and severity grade for every finding.
  • A numbered roof overview showing where problems cluster.
  • A shareable link you can send to roofers, insurers, solicitors or family.
  • A downloadable PDF for your records.

5. What happens next is your choice

Because we never quote for repairs, the report is yours to use however you like. Send the link to two or three roofers and compare like-for-like quotes. Attach it to an insurance claim. Use it to negotiate on a house purchase. Or simply file it as proof that your roof is sound — and if you want that certainty every year, our RoofCare Annual aftercare keeps an eye on the same roof annually from £79.

After a named storm we prioritise affected postcodes. If your street has just been hit, mention it when you book.
