Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

AyeInspect (ayeinspect.com) provides drone roof inspections and AI damage detection reports. AyeInspect is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy using the contact details provided with your order or report.

2. What we collect and why

• Booking details (name, email, phone, property address, postcode, notes) — to arrange and carry out your inspection and send your report. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Account details for trade users (email, login credentials held by our authentication provider) — to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Survey content (drone photographs, AI-detected findings, report text) — to produce and store reports. Photographs of a property may incidentally contain personal data. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Support messages — including contact-form enquiries, helpdesk tickets and emails synced from our sales mailbox — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Client portal data — where a trade partner invites you to their branded portal, we process the contact details supplied to deliver access, reports and booking updates. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Referral, review and subscription data — referral codes, review requests and RoofCare Annual subscription status, to run those programmes. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, usage and error logs) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the service. Legal basis: legitimate interests, and legal obligation where applicable.

Payment details (including card, PayPal, Pay By Bank App, Google Pay and Klarna information) are collected and processed by Stripe, not by us — we never see your full card details.

3. Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors that host our application, database, storage and AI analysis, and that provide error monitoring and support tooling.
• Stripe, our payment processor, for taking payments, credit purchases, tax calculation and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal and accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect legal rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Retention

We keep booking and report data for as long as your account or job record is active and for up to 6 years afterwards where needed for tax, accounting and legal claims. Drone photographs and reports are deleted or anonymised on request, or when no longer needed for the purposes above. Technical logs are typically kept for up to 12 months.

6. Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it. We respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local supervisory authority.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, private storage with row-level access rules, and time-limited private links for shared reports.

8. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in, secure the site and process checkout. With your consent via our cookie banner we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the tawk.to live-chat widget (where shown) sets cookies to keep your chat session. We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choices at any time via the cookie settings or your browser, though essential cookies are needed for the site to work.
