How do I book and can I choose a date?

Book online in a couple of minutes. You pick a preferred date and whether morning or afternoon suits you best — that isn't guaranteed, but we'll call you to confirm a mutually suitable time before we attend.

How do I pay?

Payment is taken online at checkout when you book. We accept debit/credit card, PayPal, Pay By Bank App, Google Pay and Klarna through our secure Stripe checkout — we never see or store your card details, and you'll get an emailed confirmation straight away.

How long does the survey take?

The flight itself usually takes 20 to 30 minutes for a typical house. You don't need to be home as long as we can access the garden or a safe launch point.

When will I get my report?

Accepted Answer

Reports are normally sent within 24 hours of the flight, and usually the 24 hours. It arrives by email as a private link — there's no account to create and no login.

What does the report actually show?

High-resolution photographs of every elevation with each defect circled, graded by severity and described in plain English, along with a written summary of the roof's overall condition.

Can I see the photos without the circles on them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every photo in your online report has a "Hide markers" button — tap it to see the untouched original image, then tap "Show markers" to bring the circles back. If you print the report or save it as a PDF, the marked-up version is always used.

Is there a video walkthrough with my report?

Often, yes. Your surveyor can record a short personal video talking you through what they found and what it means for your roof. When one is included it appears as a "From your surveyor" section near the top of your online report — you just press play, nothing to download.

Can I use the report for an insurance claim?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The report is date-stamped photographic evidence of the condition of your roof, which is exactly what insurers and loss adjusters ask for after storm or hail damage. You can also buy an Insurance Evidence Pack after the report is published for a claims-handler-ready document with annotated photos, weather data and an impartiality statement.

Do you need access to my roof or garden?

We never touch the roof. We just need a safe place to take off and land — usually a garden, driveway or nearby open ground.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

Drones can't fly safely in heavy rain or high winds. If the weather turns we'll call you and rearrange for the next suitable slot at no extra cost.

Do you carry out the repairs too?

No — we're independent. We only survey and report, so there's no incentive for us to find work that isn't there. You're free to take the report to any roofer.

Do you remind me when my roof is due another check?

Yes. About 12 months after your survey we'll email you a friendly reminder that your roof is due its annual re-check, with a link to book. It's optional — you can ignore it or unsubscribe at any time.

Yes. After your report is delivered we send you a personal referral link with a £10 discount code. Your friend gets £10 off their inspection, and you get a £10 voucher towards your next survey once their booking is paid.

Yes. Every published report comes with a claim assistant link. It matches any named storm that affected your postcode area around the survey date, gives you a step-by-step claim checklist and suggests wording you can use with your insurer, all based on the impartial findings in your report.

What is the Roof Health Passport?

It's a running history for your property — every survey we carry out is added to one private link, so you can see how the roof has changed over the years. It's useful when selling, at renewal time, or when a roofer asks what work has already been done.

What happens after a named storm hits my area?

When a named storm affects Central Scotland we publish a storm page for the affected postcode areas with advice on what to check and how to evidence damage for insurers, and we email past customers in those areas. A dated drone survey straight after a storm is the strongest evidence you can give a loss adjuster.

Yes. Every online report has built-in share tools and a 'Save as PDF' option that keeps the marked-up photos, summary and findings in a single branded document.

Why are similar defects sometimes grouped together?

If the same fault is visible from more than one photo or angle, your surveyor can link the related findings so it isn't counted multiple times in the overall condition score. This keeps the report fair and avoids inflated urgency.

What do 'Prepared for', 'Surveyor' and 'Conditions' mean on the report?

'Prepared for' is the report recipient, 'Surveyor' is the person who carried out the inspection, and 'Conditions' notes anything that affected the flight or image quality, such as low light, high winds or heavy moss. These details help anyone reading the report understand its context.

Who can see the photographs of my home?

Only you, anyone you forward your report link to, and our surveyors. Photographs are held in private storage and are never published on a public web address or indexed by search engines. Your report link is a long random token — treat it like a private attachment, and tell us if you'd like it revoked.

How is my payment information handled?

Payments go through Stripe's secure checkout. Card details never reach our systems — we only see whether the payment succeeded and the last few digits shown on your receipt.

Can I ask you to delete my report and photographs?

Yes. Email us and we'll delete the survey and its images, aside from the records we're legally required to keep for accounting. We never sell your data or pass your details to roofing contractors.
