How a drone roof survey works

From booking to a report you can hand to a roofer or an insurer — about twenty minutes on your driveway and one working day of desk work. Nobody climbs your roof.

  1. 1. Book online in two minutes

Choose your property type — £99 residential or £149 commercial — pick a preferred date and an AM or PM slot, and pay securely by card. We cover G, ML and EH postcodes only, so the form checks your postcode as you type.

We call or text to confirm the exact time. Preferred slots aren't guaranteed, but we always work around you.

  2. 2. We fly the roof — about 20 minutes

Nobody touches your roof and no ladders or scaffolding are involved. The drone photographs every elevation, the ridge and hips, valleys, chimney stacks, flashings and the full gutter run at close range.

You don't need to be home as long as we can access the property boundary. Flights are weather dependent; we'll move the slot rather than fly badly.

  3. 3. AI analyses every photograph

Each image is analysed for slipped and cracked tiles, hail bruising, failed pointing, lifted lead, blocked or sagging gutters, moss build-up and signs of water ingress. Every detection gets a location, a description, a severity grade and a confidence score.

The AI drafts the findings. It never publishes them.

  4. 4. A human checks and signs off

A surveyor reviews every detection, rejects false positives like shadows and wet patches, corrects descriptions, and circles anything the model missed. Only approved findings make it into your report.

Photos are captioned by location — front right elevation, rear valley — so you always know what you're looking at.

  5. 5. Your report lands within one working day

You get a link to an interactive online report: full-size photographs with each defect circled, a plain-English description of what it is and why it matters, a severity grade and a recommended action. Print it or send it straight to a roofer or insurer.

Many reports also include a short personal video walkthrough from the surveyor.

  6. 6. Independent advice, no upsell

We don't do roof repairs, so we have nothing to gain by finding problems. Take the report to any roofer you like and get comparable quotes against a documented list of defects.

Questions after the report? Call, text or WhatsApp 07305 477389.

Quick answers

Do I need to be home?
Not usually. We just need access to the property boundary to launch and land safely.
What if the weather is bad?
We reschedule. Drones don't photograph well in heavy rain or high wind, and a poor flight makes a poor report.
Is it legal to fly over my house?
Yes — we fly within UK CAA rules, keeping the aircraft in sight and clear of uninvolved people.
How quickly do I get the report?
Within one working day of the flight in almost every case.
