Product update: live chat, instant article sharing and a clearer site

You can now chat with us live on the site, share any blog article straight to Facebook, and find answers faster in a reorganised FAQ — here is what has changed.

Most of the recent work has been on the parts of the site you actually use: getting in touch, finding information, and sharing it with someone else. Nothing here is hidden behind an admin screen — it is all live on the public site now.

Live chat when you need it

There is now a live chat widget on every page. If the green chat icon is showing, one of the team is online and you can ask a question there and then. If nobody is available, you can still leave a message and we will come back to you by email or phone — whichever you prefer.

We added it because most people would rather send a quick message than pick up the phone for a small question. It is also the fastest way to check availability, ask about coverage or get help with an existing booking.

Share any blog article to Facebook

Every blog post now has a share button. If you read something useful — whether it is about storm damage, insurance claims or roof repairs — you can send it straight to Facebook with one click, or copy the link to share it anywhere else.

We are planning to add more sharing options, but Facebook is the one people asked for most, so it went first.

A cleaner menu and a better mobile experience

The site header was getting crowded as we added more pages. We have reorganised it into clear groups: Homeowners, Resources and Trade. On desktop it is a nested menu; on mobile the hamburger menu is now grouped with accordions so you do not have to scroll through a long flat list.

FAQ split for homeowners and trade users

The FAQ page now has separate tabs for homeowners and trade users. Homeowners see booking, pricing and report questions; trade users see credits, white-labelling, team access and account questions. The answers are still all there, but you no longer have to read the wrong half to find yours.

Contact page updated for live chat

The contact page now makes it clear that live chat is an option, and explains that the green chat icon means an agent is online. The sales and support routing still works as before — pick Sales for pre-booking questions, or Support if you already have an account or a booking — but you now have three ways to reach us: chat, email or phone.

All of these changes are live on ayeinspect.com now. If you spot something else that feels clunky, tell us through the chat widget — that is exactly the kind of feedback that drives the next update.
